Martin Schwed is a graduate student at Baylor University, pursuing a master's degree in the Geology Department with an emphasis on geophysics. His research incorporates surface wave dispersion analysis with other geophysical methods to ascertain crustal-scale velocity profiles, while acquiring analytical data on uncertainties to better understand model limitations.
Although he has spent more than a decade in Texas, Martin draws on substantial international exposure that has covered the Americas and Europe, and as a consequence speaks Spanish French, and English fluently.
Martin's backround goes beyond his academic training in geophysics, geology and economics, and includes significant computing and creative experience acquired in various employment and educational settings.
